The House of Arts Piešťany is situated on the right embankment upstream of the river Váh near the Colonnade Bridge. At the turn of 70 and 80 years, it was constructed by the leading Slovak architect Ing. arch. Ferdinand Milučký.

According to the periodical, the author got a difficult assignment: “to create something that would be a superior construction of a spa town. An area that would fulfill a kind of universal cultural function, because the city lacked a concert hall, as well as a larger theater and cinema. ”

Ferdinand Milučký fulfilled this assignment peculiarly and created a timeless architectural solution that still fulfills its original function.

The architect defined the architecture and its program. It is the subject of this research about how society uses architecture and fills it with cultural programs.
